You will only need to wake your machine if it's included in the Green IT initiative. You'll need to log-in with your Pennkey and password, then enter your on campus machine's hostname or IP Address. You can wake your machine by clicking the link here. Please log off as usual.Įvery time you want to use Remote Desktop to connect to your on campus machine you will first need to make sure the machine is awake. Make sure you do not shut your campus machine down when you leave for the day. Your LSP can provide this information to you while setting this up. You will also need to know the hostname or IP Address of your on campus machine you are connecting to. Once you are set up with the VPN, you'll need to check with your Local Support Provider (LSP) to make sure your on campus machine is set up properly to allow for Remote Desktop access.
